These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of SpndX, including the mobile app, website, local-first features, optional cloud sync, shared spaces, imports, backups, and related support pages.

By using SpndX, you agree to these terms and to the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the product.

• You must be legally permitted to use SpndX and provide accurate information when you create an account or profile.
• You are responsible for maintaining control of the devices, sign-in methods, and email access used with your account.
• You are responsible for activity that occurs through your account or on a device where SpndX is installed, except where caused by a security issue on SpndX's side.

• You may use SpndX to record expenses, manage budgets, view insights, maintain balances, settle shared expenses, and organize your personal or collaborative finance data.
• You remain responsible for reviewing entries, categories, budgets, balances, and settlement details before acting on them.
• Local-only features may work without an account, while cloud sync and collaboration features may require sign-in and supported connectivity.

You retain responsibility for the data, notes, imports, and member details you add to SpndX.

When you create, sync, or share data through SpndX, you authorize the app to store, process, transmit, back up, and display that data as needed to operate the features you choose to use.

If you participate in shared spaces, you understand that other members may see and rely on relevant space data, including expenses, notes, balances, settlements, and participant details.

• You must have the right to import or share any CSV files, contact details, images, or other content you bring into the app.
• You are responsible for keeping your backup files, exported data, and chosen storage locations secure.
• Restoring a backup or importing data may overwrite, merge, or duplicate records depending on the workflow you choose.

• Do not use SpndX for unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, or misleading activity.
• Do not attempt to interfere with the app, bypass access controls, reverse engineer protected systems beyond what applicable law permits, or introduce malware or harmful files.
• Do not impersonate others, misrepresent shared-space information, or use the product to spam, harass, or repeatedly send unwanted invites.

Some features may rely on third-party services or platforms such as app stores, authentication providers, cloud infrastructure, or email providers.

Your use of those services may also be subject to their separate terms and privacy policies.

SpndX is an organizational tool for tracking and understanding finances. It does not provide financial planning, investment, tax, accounting, or legal advice.

Any insights, summaries, or calculations shown in the product are informational only and should not be the sole basis for financial decisions.

SpndX may add, change, pause, or remove features from time to time, including synced or experimental features.

We do not guarantee that every feature will be available at all times, on every device, or without interruption.

Except for your data and third-party or open-source materials, the SpndX app, website, branding, and product content are owned by or licensed to the SpndX team.

These terms give you a limited, non-exclusive, revocable right to use SpndX for its intended purpose, subject to these terms.

You may stop using SpndX at any time by uninstalling the app, deleting local data, signing out, or deleting your account where available.

SpndX may limit or suspend access to cloud or account-based features if these terms are violated, if security issues arise, or if the service must be protected.

SpndX is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis to the extent permitted by applicable law.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, SpndX is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, or for loss of data, profits, or goodwill resulting from your use of the product.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

These Terms of Use may be updated from time to time. Updated versions will be posted in the app or website with a revised effective date.

Your continued use of SpndX after an update becomes effective means you accept the updated terms.
